Ronald Dennis Rison, age 64, of Wiseman Crossing in Irvine, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the St. Joseph Hospital following a long illness. He was born February 24, 1961, in Estill County and was the son of the late Estill Rison and Fannie Juanita "Tootsie" Arvin Rison. He was retired from Irvine Municipal Utilities and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Horse Association, the Kentucky Mountain Horse Association, and a former member of the Estill County Saddle Club. He is survived by:

3 daughters: Veronica (Clay) Mansfield - Irvine

Victoria Rison - Irvine

Brooklyn (David) Dunaway - Irvine

1 sister: Vivian Rison (Gene) Walling - Irvine

Brother-in-law: Gary Rawlins - Irvine

2 special brothers: Jerry Dixon - Irvine

Bryan Thompson - Irvine

6 grandchildren: Carson Clay Mansfield, Kaycee Nicole Mansfield, Matthew Blake Rison, Addison Brooke Rison, Kylee Elizabeth Dunaway, and Kaisyn Layne Dunaway

Special grandson: Lindon Craig Haggard

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Rison Rawlins.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 7, 4 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Floyd officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 PM.
