Ronald Lewis Romer, Sr., 90, of Crystal Lake passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19, from 4pm until 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. A funeral service will be on Thursday, March 20, at 11am with a visitation to begin at 10am at First Congregational Church, 461 Pierson St, Crystal Lake.

I will always remember the day my State Farm agent introduced me to the world of home built planes, EAA, Oshkosh, chapter 790. But my fondest memory would have to be his performance in "Arsenic and Old Lace" at the Woodstock Opera House. RIP old friend.
