Ronald Wayne Rora

Ronald Wayne Rora, 61, of Oxford, Georgia, passed on December 19, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Ocala, Florida, on December 18, 1964, to Rudolph and Ruby Rora. Known affectionately as "Cartoon," childhood friends remember Ronald as both funny and mischievous. Ronald attended Nathan B. Forest High School in Ocala, Florida, before joining the army, from which he retired after 22 years of service. He served his country with honor and humility, never seeking recognition for the sacrifices he made. He cherished time spent cooking and enjoying good food, cigars, bourbon, and the comfort of togetherness. His faith in God guided his life, and those who truly knew him understood that behind his calm demeanor was a warm heart and deep love for his family.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Rora; sister, Jennifer Stevenson; fathers-in-law, Jimmie Lee Washington and Andrew Hamilton; brother-in-law Timothy "Peanut" Washington. He is survived by his wife, Diane Rora; children Domonique Caro-Rora (Carlos), Bryant Rora, and Aynesse Geffrard; his mother, Ruby Rora; siblings Cassandra Brown (Bobby), Wendell Rora (Rebecca), and Raymond Rora (Erika); mother-in-law, Bessie Hamilton; sister-in-law, Donna Washington; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his pet, Cashew.

The service will be held on January 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1999 Highway 138 SE, Conyers, GA 30013. We welcome members of the military, law enforcement, fire, and emergency services to attend in uniform if they choose. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Ronald's name to support veterans.
