Ronald enjoyed woodworking and building things and was also a member of the Columbia VFW.

A graveside service will be held at a later date and will be announced by his family.

Ronald Elwood Roye, Sr., 84, of Columbia passed away on February 5, 2026. He was born in Columbia to the late Elwood and Gladys Krewson Roye and was a lifelong resident of Columbia.

Ronald was a graduate of Columbia High School with Class of 1959 where he lettered in wrestling three years in a row. He worked with Armstrong World Industries and Donsco until his retirement. Ronald enjoyed woodworking and building things and was also a member of the Columbia VFW. He was a loving companion, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who adored his family.

Ronald leaves behind his children, Ron, husband of Mindy Roye of Columbia, Diane Weaver of Mountville; his companion Glenda Lehman of Columbia; two grandchildren, Samantha, wife of Travis Fisher of East Prospect, Chelsea, wife of Alex Plantive of Lancaster; four great grandchildren, Chase, Addison, Cameron, and Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings.

A graveside service will be held at a later date and will be announced by his family. He will be laid to rest with his father at Silver Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Columbia VFW, Post 2435, 401 Manor St, Columbia, PA 17512.
