Ronald Schene Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center & Confluence Center on Feb. 3, 2026.
Schene, Ronald A, passed away on February 2, 2026 at the age of 79.

Beloved husband of Barbara Riegerix. Loving father of Terry (Becka) Schene and Tammi Britton.

Loving Papa to Ryane Britton, Xander Baldwin, Addyson Schene, Alexander Schene and Adam Sherertz. Brother of Barbara (Michael) Stevenson and James Schene. Loving Bonus Dad to Stacy Riegerix-Baldwin (K Baldwin) and Julie (Jon) Sherertz.

Ronald was preceded in death by his first wife Sandie (Bigger) Schene, his parents Betty Mae (Albright) and Jerome Schene and his brothers Terry Schene, Chuck Schene and Michael Schene.

Ronald was a proud Air Force veteran. He served his country with honor and dedication, a commitment that reflected his strong sense of duty and quiet pride.

A devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan, Ron rarely missed a chance to talk baseball, celebrate a win, or good-naturedly debate a call. He also enjoyed spending time at the bowling alley, where his competitive spirit and sense of humor were always on full display. Game days and bowling nights were special to him, especially when shared with family and friends. He also had a legendary sweet tooth-particularly for chocolate-which was never far from reach and often shared with a grin.

More than anything, Ron will be remembered for his humor, his warmth, and his ability to brighten a room. He had a gift for turning ordinary moments into stories worth retelling, and his laughter leaves a lasting echo in the hearts of those who loved him.

In honoring Ron's life, may we remember to laugh often, enjoy the simple pleasures, and never underestimate the power of a good joke-or a piece of chocolate.

Yesterday

My family spent many years with the entire Schene family. Dad Jerry was my first baseball coach and Ronnie and I played many years together. After they moved to Carrolton we still got to see each other since my cousin Pat lived just couple houses away. My condolences to all the Schene family.
