Ron was a great person to work with at Romeo Nursing Center and Romeo Continuing Care. His leadership and values for excellent care of residents and families was outstanding. He treated all staff like family and as a result got the best from all of us. He always put the residents first and showed us that his model for care was unbeatable in the industry.
I loved my time there and appreciate the results we were able to achieve providing exceptional long term care. We were able to spend lots of time with residents. Always part of meal times and involved in activities that improved the quality of their lives. Families loved it and were comfortable leaving their loved one in our care. It was definitely a home like setting with love; Siting on the porch on summer days, playing bingo, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, music from local church choir members, piano sing alongs all enabled us to brighten their days. We were able to do this because of Ron´s vision for how care was to be provided. His expectations made all the difference.
I am grateful for the recommendation Lisa gave Ron when he offered me a position as director of nursing for four years prior to the facility closing. It was the best opportunity of my nursing career.
Thanks to Sabrina for arranging a get together a few months ago. It was great to spend time with Ron reminiscing our time together and seeing coworkers. He will be remembered by many.
Comfort and peace to his family. Know that he impacted and improved the lives of so very many.

I met Ron when we were freshmen at WMU in 1960. Since then, he has been truly a great friend with a terrific sense of humor. He was easy to be with, without an agenda except wanting to know you an hang out with you. His medical issues unfortunately, took over his life, but he was always there when the college group got together. I will very much miss him and l thank him for the time we spent together and his friendship.
