Ronald Shrader Sr., 81, of Camp Point, IL (formerly of Loraine, IL), passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025, in Camp Point.
Born August 19, 1944, in Quincy, IL, Ronald was the son of Ray and Mabel Shephard Shrader.
He enjoyed deer hunting with his uncle Dale back in the day. He loved to fish and look for Indian relics. Ronald liked helping people work on their lawn mowers and loved to walk every day. He didn't know a stranger and enjoyed visiting the Community for Christ Assistance Center every time it was open. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Surviving are his children, Sherry Kinman, Ronald Shrader Jr. (Pam), and Brad Shrader (Kayla); his grandchildren, Ryan Cable, Justin Cable, Brady Shrader, Chance Shrader, and Faith Shrader; his great-grandchildren, Brayden, Kayden, Brynlee, Gabby, Nathan, K'leb, Isabella, Jayden, Lonnie, Bralynn, Daylin, Elliana, Khayden, Ezriana, Emelia, and Brewer; three sisters, Shirley Kane, Patsy Benham, and Betty Hendrickson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point by Rev. Sheri Renner. Burial will follow at the Loraine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
