Ronald E. Simard, 82, resident of Brookline, NH, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.
Ron was born in Nashua, NH in 1941, the son of Albert and Laura Simard. He was raised in Nashua and graduated from Nashua High School, Class of 1958. After graduation, he entered the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1962. Following the discharge, he then transferred to the U.S. Army Corps until 1964.
Ron married MaryAnn in 1979 combining their two families. Together they have five children, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ron retired from the former Sanders Associates after many years there working in the Calibration Lab. This then allowed him to spend extra time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ron had a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. In his later years, he enjoyed watching the deer and the birds at their home in Brookline. He continued to be an active member of Watanic Bowman, Horsepond Fish and Game, Pennassit Sportsmens Club, and the American Legion Post 74.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Milford and will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asking that donations be made to the Brookline Ambulance Service, 3 Post Office Drive, Brookline, NH 03033.
A memorial mass will be held on February 3, 2024 at 11:00 am in St. Patrick's Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford.
