Beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at his home, with his family at his side. Age 65 years.
The son of Lucille Ida (Hoppe) Slick and the late Gordon Ward Slick, Ron was born on December 18, 1959, in Saginaw, Michigan. Ron graduated from Merrill High School with the class of 1979. Ron and his fellow firefighters made an annual trip to the Michigan State Firemen's Memorial in Roscommon, Michigan—a tradition he cherished deeply. He also enjoyed spending time at the casino, as well as hunting and fishing. Above all, Ron cherished the time with his family and loved ones.
Surviving are his mother, Lucille Slick; brothers and sisters, Randy (Penny) Slick, Louann (Tim) Rohn, Christine (Gerald) Eurich, Aaron (Heather) Slick; nieces and nephews, Michael (Rebekkah) Eurich, Rebecca (JD) Mielke, Tyler Stafford (Kasey), Cassidy Rohn (Alex), Adam Engel, Emily Slick; great-nieces and nephews; Kenley, Grayson, Alaina, Alex, Xander, Caleb, Clara. Also surviving are many extended family members and friends. Besides his father, Gordon Slick; Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Slick; and uncle, Dale Slick.
