Rev. Ronald H. Stott, age 88, of
Feasterville, PA, passed peacefully on March 26, 2026, surrounded by the love and respect of the family and friends who were blessed to know him.
Born on April 20, 1937, in
Philadelphia, PA, he was a proud Philadelphian whose roots, values, and spirit remained evident throughout his life. He graduated from Northeast High School and went on to receive the prestigious Union League Award of Philadelphia, an honor that reflected the character, dedication, and promise that marked his early years. Ron carried that same commitment into every chapter of his life, serving his family, his church, his work, and his community with steady faith and quiet strength.
Ron worked for 30 years at Schoenhut Toy Manufacturer, where he served many of those years as Vice President and General Manager. He was respected for his leadership, reliability, and strong work ethic, and he took pride in contributing to a company that brought joy to so many families. His professional life reflected the same integrity and consistency that defined him personally, and he built lasting friendships through the years he spent there.
A devoted man of faith, Ron attended Trevose United Methodist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher, superintendent, and certified lay speaker. His calling to ministry deepened over time, leading him to attend Bucks Community College and Wesley Theological Seminary, where he graduated as an ordained United Methodist pastor. He answered that calling with humility and devotion, sharing his gifts in preaching, teaching, and pastoral care. After retiring from active ministry, he continued to serve as a visitation pastor, filled the pulpit for vacationing pastors as needed, and conducted weddings and funerals throughout the Bucks County area. His presence brought comfort, encouragement, and a sense of peace to many.
Ron also supported mission projects close to his heart, including the Shoe Box Ministry and efforts to help flood victims in Missouri. He believed in practical compassion and in meeting the needs of others wherever he could. His life was a reflection of service, and he lived his faith in ways both large and small. Those who knew him will remember his kindness, his dependable nature, and his willingness to help without hesitation.
He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 70 years, Ella (Kallas) Stott. Their marriage was a beautiful example of enduring love, partnership, and devotion. He is also survived by his children, Catherine Craig and her husband Richard, Ronald J. Stott and his wife Deborah, and Susan Bendel and her husband David. His legacy continues through his four grandchildren, Anthony DiMartino, Lisa Hesser, Ashley Balliet, and Bryan Stott, as well as through his seven great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Stott and his wife Alice, along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his brothers Richard, LeRoy, and Kenneth.
Ron lived life with enthusiasm and enjoyed many interests over the years. He loved sports of all kinds, including football, baseball, basketball, boxing, tennis, bowling, and golf. He especially enjoyed traveling and treasured trips to the Smoky Mountains, Williamsburg, Ocean City, New Jersey, and cruises. He loved the water and found happiness in swimming. Family vacations in Avalon were among his favorite times, and those memories remained dear to him throughout his life. He was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan who loved his Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers, and he followed his teams with loyalty and pride.
Ronald H. Stott will be remembered as a faithful servant, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, and a man whose life was marked by devotion to God, family, and community. His example of steadfast faith, generous spirit, and genuine care for others leaves a lasting legacy in all who were fortunate enough to know him.
