Ronald Struffolino Obituary

Ronald Edward Struffolino, 87 of Cary, NC passed from this world to his new life on October 29th, 2025.

Ron excelled at work and enjoyed participating in a variety of sports, especially golf during his later years. He worked & sacrificed his entire life to make sure his family had all they needed and could enjoy better circumstances than he experienced in his pre-adult years. Those efforts never stopped, even up to his final day, so he could provide for generations of his family - even though his goal had been completed many years prior. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends but was comforted in his final moments by the promise of a new life.

Ron was predeceased by father John, mother Lillian, and brother Richard. He is survived by wife Mary Kay Hartland Struffolino, son James Struffolino, daughter Debra Young, grandson Blake Young and wife Alli Young, great-grandchildren Maddie & Brooks Young, grandson Davis Young and wife Coty Young, and sister Patricia Robinson.

The family kindly requests no donations or flowers, but if you wish, a donation to a cause close to your heart is a nice tribute. Your love, kindness and fond memories are what we treasure most.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 14th 2025, at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 804 High House Road, Cary, NC 27513. A reception will immediately follow the Service.

I met Ron when we worked together at the Koppers Unit Structures Plant in Morrisville, NC. Ron was a "great guy" and a good friend, and he was a "Giver" and a "Pusher" in a good way.

I have many fond memories of Ron, but one I want to share is as follows:
When Ron was telling you something, either in person or on the phone, he always had this little laugh/chuckle at the end of what he was saying. In my last telephone conversation with him 2 months ago, right before we hung up, I heard that little chuckle. What a great memory to end our earthly friendship with.

Thanks for the good memories, Ron, and for being my friend and a "great guy".
Joe Hash
May God bless Kay, Jim and Debbie in this time of sorrow.
