Ronald Sutherland Obituary
Ronald D. "Suds" Sutherland, 73, of Moncton, and formerly of Kitchener- Waterloo, ON, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Born in Blackville, NB, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Jean (MacDonald) Sutherland.
Suds was a dedicated and faithful firefighter within the communities of Kitchener-Waterloo for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and was a self-proclaimed Master Chef, and could often be found enjoying a nice cold beer.
He will be deeply and sadly missed by his wife of 32 years, Claudia Sutherland; son, Michael Sutherland (Alisha); grandchildren, MacKenzie, Wyatt and Noah; sisters, Lylla Schaefer and Colleen Peterson; brother, Larry Sutherland; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Ruth and Maureen; and brother, Johnny.
Arrangements have been made by Fergusons Funeral Home, Moncton, NB and in keeping with Suds' wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation hours or funeral service.
