Ronald Lee "Ron" Temple, age 80, of Shawano, formerly of Pulcifer, passed away on October 1, 2025, peacefully in his sleep.

Ronald was born on August 21, 1945, in Green Bay, a son of the late Ray and Ruth (Nass) Temple. He lived a full and meaningful life, marked by love, hard work, and devotion to family and friends.

He attended Gillett High School and graduated with the Class of 1963. Following high school, Ron proudly served his county in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in South Korea until 1966, an experience that shaped his character and lifelong commitment to service and discipline.

On September 21, 1968, Ronald was united in marriage to the former Patricia Dumas in Lena, Wisconsin. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family. They recently celebrated 57 years of marriage. His wish was to have his family celebrate with them by attending church that very day.

Ron spent his working years as a dedicated truck driver, a career that demanded long hours and many miles on the road. Though it meant sacrificing time away from his family, he did it with love and commitment, providing for them and ensuring they were well cared for. After retiring in 2011, he and Pat enjoyed their many travels up until recently when his health no longer allowed him to.

He will be remembered for his hard work, sense of humor, kindness, and strong faith. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, playing dartball, and cheering or booing, the Packers and Brewers. Above all, his greatest joy came from time spent with his loved ones.

Ron is survived by his wife, Pat; his four daughters, Staci (fiancé Glenn Noack) Temple, Pam (Jon) Egge, Tricia (Duane) Kohls, and Angela (special friend Paul Riegert) Francois; 12 grandchildren, Ali (Nick) Klemens, Bri (Dakota) Fetterly, Cassi (Ethan) Yonke, Dani (special friend Chasten) McQuillan, Zach (Bryant) Egge, Hunter (Alyssa) Egge, Devin (Jenny) Kohls, Trevor (special friend Morgan) Kohls, Riley (Samantha) Francois, Gage (special friend Bridgette) Giese, Amber (Cody) Soper, and Tristen Francois; 14 great-grandchildren with three more on the way, Nolan and Charlee Klemens, Jase, Josie, and Julia Fetterly, Grady and Gracy Yonke, Leah Egge, Dayton and Elsie Kohls, Penelope Francois, Grayson Giese, and Iris and Emmett Soper. He is further survived by his sisters, Shirley Rank and Yvonne (Fred) Christensen; Pat's family, Alice (David) Blood, Barbara Bubolz, and Patsy Dumas; special friends Betty and Traci; and many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Melissa; brothers, Bucky (Judy) Temple and Jerry (Karen) Temple; his sister, Nancy (Wilmer) Jaeger; brother-in- law, Ronald Rank; nephew, Bryon Temple; mother and father in-law, Daniel and Phylis Dumas; sister-in-law, Angelina Nicholson; and brothers-in-law, Daniel and Philip Dumas.

A memorial service for Ronald L. Temple will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 am at Faith United Lutheran Church in Gillett, Wisconsin. Pastor John Laatsch will officiate. Burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery, Pulcifer. Visitation will begin at the church on Saturday at 9:00 am and continue until the time of service.

"The family would like to extend a special thank you to his hospice care team, especially his "girls," Sabrina, Jolene, Lana, and Heather. Thank you also to Pastor John Laatsch for his visits with Ron."
