Ronald VanArsdale Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Linnemann Funeral Home - Burlington on Apr. 22, 2025.
Ronald "Gregg" VanArsdale, 64, of Florence, KY, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Gregg was a dedicated Machinist/Engineer, retiring after 30 years of service with Stewart Filmscreen. He was known not only for his work ethic but also for the kindness and warmth he brought to every room he entered.
An avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, the Reds, and the University of Kentucky, Gregg's passions extended beyond sports. He cherished time outdoors-whether fishing, camping, boating, or tubing at Lake Cumberland-and even more so, he cherished time with his family. His favorite moments were spent by the fire pit or pool, surrounded by his grandchildren who lovingly called him "Pawpaw."
Gregg had a magnetic personality; people naturally gravitated toward him. He was the kind of man who made everyone feel welcome, respected, and valued. His presence lit up every gathering, and his memory will continue to do so.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ron VanArsdale Betty Jo Burgess and son Christopher VanArsdale.
Gregg is survived by his loving wife of almost 46 years, Diana VanArsdale; children: Amanda VanArsdale (Brian Triplett), Nick (Jennifer) VanArsdale and Molly (Josh) Sullivan; grandchildren: Baylee, Carter, Zack, Mason and baby Norah on the way; brother, Mark (Terry) VanArsdale; sister, Michelle Sanders; step-mother, Bonnie VanArsdale; beloved dogs, Callie and Lucy; as well as numerous family members and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM until the time of words of remembrance at 6:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005.
