Ronald Wayne Wadena

Ronald "Ronnie" Wadena, age 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Ronnie was born on January 19, 1968 in Saint Paul, MN to Arthur Wadena and Olivia Schoen. Ronnie worked in construction and especially enjoyed demolition projects. His work brought him all over the United States, and his family would get postcards and pictures from the Grand Canyon to the Florida Keys and everywhere in between. On each of these adventures, he would spend his days off finding the great local spots, sometimes even running into celebrities like Paul Teutul from American Chopper!

Ronnie loved cars, motorcycles, and shoes, especially his Air Jordan collection. He loved listening to music and spending time with friends and family. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father Arthur "Sonny" Wadena; brother Arthur "Chubs" Wadena; grandfathers Carlos Resendez Sr. and Arthur Pettiford Sr.; grandmother Margaret Marcy; and uncles George Caudillo, Raul Resendez, and Rosendo "Redd" Resendez.

He is survived by his mother Olivia Schoen; grandmother Maria Resendez Bath; aunts, Elvira Resendez, and Linda Mace; uncles, Ramiro "Medo" Resendez, Rogelio "Bob" Resendez, and Carlos Resendez Jr. "Pete;" and many beloved cousins, relatives, and friends.

Visitation 10 AM with Funeral Service beginning at 11 AM at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN 55016. All are invited to a luncheon following the service. Burial will follow at Newport Cemetery, Newport, MN.

In lieu of the flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
