Birmingham, Alabama - Ronald Allen Waltman, Sr, age 81, of Birmingham, AL passed on January 20, 2022 in Birmingham, AL. Mr. Waltman was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Mary Waltman; his mother, Irene Waltman; his father, Ernest Waltman, Sr; his brother, Ernest Waltman, Jr; his sisters, Merle Sargent, Shirley Turnipseed and Joyce Lumpkin; his daughter, Rhonda Strops and grandson, Franke Pittman.
Mr. Waltman is survived by his loving children, Ryan Self (James), Ronnie Waltman, Jr (Kathy), Robin Riggleman (Dale) and Romona Mokbel (Mo). He treasured his grandchildren, Ashley Krantz-Self, Caleb Self, Dylan Self, Alex Self, Kayla Waltman, Sadiqa Mokbel, Junior Reed, Jennifer Lacy, Daniel Presley and Shyla Brinson. He was also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other special family members.
Ron Waltman was born and raised in Prichard, AL and moved to Vancleave, MS with his true love before heading to Birmingham, AL to live out the rest of his days.
Ron was a veteran of the Army where he served proudly for 8 years. While in the Army he learned many trades which he carried with him through his career and retirement. Ron was the biggest, most loyal BAMA fan and made sure everyone knew. His love of nature ensured his daily walks were filled with beauty. His days began and ended in his walk with the Lord, reading the Bible and prayer. He would share the Word with anyone, at any time. He was a faithful and loyal Christian.

Visitation will be held from 12 PM – 2 PM on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS 39531. Funeral service will begin at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel followed by a graveside service at Vancleave #1 Cemetery.
