I wish to express my condolences to Waco´s family. I was very surprised to hear of his passing as I knew he was living an active lifestyle. Waco was a close friend the first ten years of our time in Lander. We were on the same Instructors Course with NOLS in 1974. We shared many adventures and I even visited the family home in Waco in the fall of 74 when Baylor beat the Longhorns for the first time in many years. I remember him showing me on the topographical maps the route to get into the remote areas of the Wind River Mountains on the Wind River Indian Reservation where no trails were shown on the maps. I still have that well used map with the notes and penciled in trails as a reference and memento. I haven´t seen much of him since he started his career in oil exploration but when he came to town we always had a memorable time. I´ve thought of him a lot since hearing of his passing. I will miss him.

I am very sorry to hear of Waco's passing. He is one of those people whose mold was broken when he was born. All who knew him know there is no replacement for him. Everyone will miss him.

Waco was a true spirit of adventure. This is Boulder Choke cave in Lander WY and his presence at Everest base camp was a pleasure!

I am deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Ronald. My sincere condolences to his family. I have known Ron since 6th grade class and days of Boy Scouts in Waco. Not surprised hearing about his many adventures in life from time to time.
Along with his Wings, I´m sure Ron is skiing across the clouds in heaven.
R.I.P. Ronnie
