Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Williams, 81, of Shenandoah, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Accura HealthCare of Shenandoah. Private family services will be held at a later date.
OBITUARY:
Ronald Lee Williams, son of Russell Edward and Elsie Etta (Cropp) Williams, was born on July 25, 1941, in
Shenandoah, Iowa. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Accura HealthCare of
Shenandoah, Iowa, at the age of 81 years, 7 months, 18 days.
His early life was spent growing up in Shenandoah, where he attended the Shenandoah Community Schools, and graduated from Shenandoah High School with the Class of 1959. Ronnie enjoyed playing in the band. Following high school, he attended Northwest Missouri State University in
Maryville, Missouri, where he received his bachelor's degree in business.
On September 1, 1963, Ronnie was united in marriage to Sandra Elaine Hannen in Pennsylvania. They were blessed with three children, Belinda, Angela and Kenton. Following their marriage, they lived in Shenandoah until moving to Omaha, Nebraska, in 1968. They moved to Utah in 1974, Texas in 1975, and then moved to Colorado in 1976, where they lived until 2016, when they moved back to Shenandoah.
Through the years, Ronnie worked as manager of Wilson Foods, then managed a 7 – Eleven Convenience Store. He last worked as a Receiving Specialist for Target Stores before retiring. Following retirement, he and Sandra lived in Broomfield, Colorado, before coming back to Shenandoah. In his spare time and retirement, he enjoyed fishing, car racing and watching football. He also enjoyed working with his son on race cars.
Preceding Ronnie in death were his parents, Russell and Elsie Williams; grandson, Kyle Linberry; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandra Williams of
Shenandoah, IA; three children, Belinda Zessin and husband Kevin of Brighton, CO, Angela Linberry and husband Bob of
Shenandoah, IA, and Kenton Williams and wife Marla of Talbott, TN; four granddaughters: Amber Meaney and husband Wade of Lochbuie, CO, and their children, Connor, Valerie and Evangeline; Alexis Ramsdell and her children, Kyle and Kellie of
Shenandoah, IA; Kendra Foster and her husband Jordan of Clarinda, Iowa; and Kaitlyn Williams and her son Mason Williams of Talbott, TN; other relatives; and many friends.
