Ronnie Luna

Ronnie Luna, of Austin, Texas, born on July 22, 1971, was called home to our Heavenly Father on February 10, 2025, at the age of 53.

Early in life he was a hardworking and dedicated husband and father, centered on his family. He had a heart that knew no bounds. Despite the hardships he endured, he remained a pillar of love and kindness. He carried the weight of life’s burdens with quiet strength, never allowing them to diminish his warmth or generosity. Whether through long hours of work to provide for his family, overcoming personal struggles, or standing tall in the face of adversity, he never let hardship harden his heart. He embraced those he loved with open arms, always ready with a kind word, a reassuring hug, or a joke to bring a smile.

He is survived by his life partner, Christina Lopez. His beloved three children, Ronnie Edward Luna, Natalie Luna, and Gabriella Luna, whom he lovingly raised with their mother, Cynthia Rubio. He also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Elijah Luna and Kai Edwards, his beloved Mother Delfina Zapata, Siblings: Robert Sanchez (Olivia Sanchez), Blanche Johnson (Clinton Johnson), Melissa Sanchez, Joe Sanchez, Jennifer Luna, Joseph Luna, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his infant Son Troy Luna, Father Roy Luna Sr. and Brother Roy Luna Jr.

Pallbearers: Benny Serrano Jr., Alfred Casarez Jr., Roy Torres Jr., Mike Rubio, Hector Rendon and Chris Soriano.

Honorary Pallbearers: Elijah Luna, Kai Edwards, Louis Edwards and Ryan Moore.

Though he faced many storms in life, his love remained a guiding light—one that will continue to shine in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
