Ronnie Jude Pitre

Ronnie Jude Pitre, 63, passed away on February 15, 2026, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Born on August 1, 1962, in Houma, Louisiana. Ronnie spent his life deeply rooted in the community he called home.

Ronnie built a remarkable career that spanned decades. He dedicated many years to North American Shipyard and later channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into founding and operating his own business, Productive Contractors, a contract labor company. His hard work and determination left a lasting mark on those who worked alongside him.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Ronnie was a man of many passions. He found joy in fishing and hunting, pursuits that connected him to the natural beauty of Louisiana. He also enjoyed raising birds and could often be found at local Bird Shows with friends and family. These hobbies reflected his love for life's simple pleasures and his appreciation for camaraderie.

He is survived in death by his fiancée, Olinda Gros, Sons Coty and Christopher, daughter-in-law Deanna, granddaughter Alyce, grandsons Cullen and Alexander Pitre, and sisters Donna Pitre and Julie Picou.

He was preceded in death by his father Evans "Genie Boy" Pitre; his mother, Catherine "Kitty" Guidroz; and his brothers Jamie Pitre and Todd Pitre.

Ronnie will be remembered as a loving, kind-hearted man with a strong yet rowdy spirit. His sense of humor brought laughter to those around him, while his caring nature left a lasting impact on everyone he met. May the memories of Ronnie bring comfort to all who knew him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, 635 Bayou Blue Rd. A visitation will be held in his honor for the immediate family from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00, followed by family and friends until the funeral service at 11:00 a. m. The burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery.
