Ronnie Earle Wilkie passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024. He was born to Robert Odell and Janie Kate (Gaines) Wilkie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Odell Wilkie and wife Charlotte Wilkie Allsup of Goldston, NC; sisters Helen McDuffie and husband Ray, of Broadway, NC; and Fayedene Goins, of Goldston, NC.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deborah Kaye Williams Wilkie; sister Dale and husband Jerry Calcutt of Nashville, NC; brother-in-law Maua Goins of Nashville, NC; children Jaime Beavers of Goldston, NC; Jessica Moore, Jordyn, and husband Clay Jessup of Coleridge, NC; Alex Moore and fiancé Hailey Kidd of Siler City, NC. Grandchildren: Shawn Beavers of Evansville, IN, and Sierra and Sawyer Beavers of Goldston, NC.

Ronnie Earle Wilkie attended Chatham Central High School in Bear Creek, NC. Following high school Ronnie was married, served seven years in the National Guard, and started a family. He retired from Towsend Farms after 30 years. Ronnie was a free spirit who enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, and camping. He was always looking to make the perfect walking stick for the hike. He enjoyed knife collecting and was an artist in so many ways. He loved to work in his shop where he created items ranging from furniture to carvings, and knick-knacks. He was great at creating things and shared his hobbies and knowledge with his kids and grandkids. Music was also a source of peace for Ronnie. He not only wrote music and poems, but he also played the guitar and harmonica and often sang with his kids and other family members. Ronnie was always there for his family. Never did he miss a recital, or ball game for any of his kids or grandkids. He was always there as their biggest fan. He was the best son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and overall friend, for he never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Funeral services will be at Antioch Baptist Church on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 1100am, with Pastor Scott Walker and Pastor Doug Griffith officiating. A celebration of life will follow in the fellowship hall, please come, and share some memories.
