Rory Morgan Obituary

Rory was deeply devoted to his loved ones and to his church, Welcome Hill Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as both song leader and deacon. His grandchildren: Reed, Zachary, Stella, Jake, and JoJo, knew they had him wrapped around their little fingers. He especially cherished the family's yearly trips to Florida, where he delighted in watching the kids play in the ocean and pool and enjoyed their nightly visits to the ice cream shop.
Rory is preceded in death by his father, James Otis "Peewee" Morgan.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan Morgan; children, Daniel Morgan (Jade) and Genie Heaton (Dan); mother, Barbara Jo Morgan; grandchildren, Reed, Zachary, Stella, Jake, and JoJo; sister, Tracy Lemons; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, November 6th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
A funeral service honoring Rory's life will be held Friday, November 7th, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Pastor Nathan Knight and Brother Hunter Stokes officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.

Rory , me and you in Mr. Essoffs 7:30 class !!! You were always pranking somebody , laughing , and clowning around . You were so funny! Really a nice guy with a sweet wife ! Seen you in April at a Moody funeral- good to see you ! It is good to have known you .
