Weslaco, Texas - Rosa A. Barbosa, 86, passed away to be with the Lord on May 8, 2025 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
Ms. Barbosa was born on July 12, 1938 in Weslaco, TX to Mr. Pablo Abeldano & Mrs. Felicitas Martinez.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roberto Barbosa; her son, Roberto Barbosa, Jr.; one brother, Roberto Abeldaño & one sister, Anita A. Gamez.
Rosa A. Barbosa is survived by her son Ricardo Barbosa (Hilda); four brothers, Alfonso Abeldaño, Pedro Abeldaño, Rolando Abeldaño, Ramiro Abeldaño; three sisters, Maria A Rodriguez, Teresa A. Ramirez & Rachel A. Villarreal. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Natalia Selvera, Ricardo Barbosa, Jr., Raquel Gutierrez; her great grandchildren, Anthony Selvera, Ricardo Daniel Barbosa , Catalina Barbosa, Jonah Selvera, Sophia Gutierrez & Stephen Gutierrez.
Visitation for Rosa A. Barbosa is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens. A 9:00 AM Chapel Service will take place on Wednesday, May 14,2025 at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley Veterans State Cemetery in Mission, Texas.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
