Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williams Funeral Home, Inc. - Bronx on Jan. 5, 2026.
Rosa E. Cartright, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born on January 11, 1939, in La Vega, Dominican Republic.

Rosa immigrated to the United States, where through hard work, perseverance, and determination, she proudly became a United States citizen. She built a life rooted in family, service, and love, and her journey stood as an example of strength and resilience.

Rosa lived a life defined by selflessness. She consistently put her family and friends ahead of herself, always giving, always caring, and always showing up for the people she loved. Her generosity was quiet but constant, and it touched everyone who knew her.

She had a deep love for nature and found joy in birds, plants, and flowers, appreciating the simple beauty of the world around her. Rosa also believed strongly in helping others and was a proud supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, donating with the hope of bringing comfort and healing to children and families in need.

Rosa's home and heart were places of warmth, comfort, and unconditional love. Her presence made people feel safe, valued, and cared for. Her absence leaves a profound emptiness, but her compassion, values, and spirit live on.

She is survived by her five children, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, along with extended family and many friends who will forever carry her kindness, strength, and love.

She was deeply loved and will be forever missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rosa's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
