Rosa fue la matriarca de su familia. Fue verdaderamente una de las almas más felices y desinteresadas que cualquiera pudiera conocer. Su personalidad era acogedora, amorosa y bondadosa. Su sonrisa era cálida y sincera, iluminando cada lugar como el sol. Expresaba su amor con los brazos abiertos a todas las personas que conocía.
Le sobreviven sus hijas, Georgina (Richard Parsons), Edith (Isaias Olivo) y Karina (Brad Sims); sus ocho nietos; dos bisnietos; y el resto de sus familiares y amigos.
Rosa María Zapote Lara was reunited with the Lord and the Virgin Mary on February 23, 2026, surrounded by her daughters and family members.
Rosa was born on December 15, 1946, in Boxhuada, Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo, Mexico. Her life in Mexico was filled with simple joys: going to the plaza every Monday to shop, spending time around her kitchen table eating pan and drinking tea with family.
In the United States, Rosa was known as everyone's Abuelita. She loved spending quality time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as with other family members and friends.
Rosa was the matriarch of her family. She was truly one of the happiest and most selfless souls anyone could ever meet. Her personality was welcoming, loving, and kind. Her smile was warm and genuine, lighting up the room like the sun. She expressed her love with open arms to everyone she met.
Rosa is survived by her daughters, Georgina (Richard Parsons), Edith (Isaias Olivo), and Karina (Brad Sims); her eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and the rest of her family and friends.
