Rosa David Lyon Rives

Rosa David Lyon Rives age 99 of Selma, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 11, 2021 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Selma on March 30, 1922 to the late Isaac Niles Lyon and the late Inez Yagle Lyon.
She was a former bookkeeper.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Dease (Doug), Connie Stewart (Glynn) and Rosemary Moody Wigington (Jody); sister-in-law, Dorothy Rives; grandchildren, Shelley Dease, Jennie Tindell (Travis), Drew Dease (Julie), Craig A. Stewart (Paige), Mandy Dennis (James), Laurie Carey (Brian), Brian Moody (Holly), and Tricia Moody; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, G. Walton Rives, Jr.; great-granddaughters, Avonlea Stewart and Lily Stewart; son-in-law, Lee Moody; and sisters, Ida L. Traylor, Elizabeth L. Pickens, Edwina L. Cannon, and Bertha L. Thomas.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 2:00pm at the Collerine Cemetery with Rev. Tom Stacey and Rev. Denny McClendon officiating.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021, from 5-7pm at Selma Funeral Home.
Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the care of Selma Funeral Home.
