Rosa Merolle, age 90, of Watertown, passed away peacefully November 2, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving widow of Giovanni Merolle.
Rosa was born August 9, 1935 in Isola Del Liri, Italy, a daughter of the late Valentino and Christina (Saccucci) Marziale. Prior to her retirement in 1994, Rosa had worked as a seamstress at Saint Mary's Hospital for over 24 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
She leaves two sons Robert Merolle and his wife Beverly of Waterbury, Romeo Merolle and his wife Mindy of Watertown, her grandchildren Luca Merolle, Lisa Merolle and her husband Dan Spadola, Ryan Merolle and his wife Jillian, Mark Merolle and his wife Megan, Christopher Merolle and his wife Colleen, and her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Emily and Caitlin Merolle, James, Morgan and Jesse Spadola, Margot and Mina Merolle, and predeceased by her great-granddaughter Hailey Merolle.
Additionally, she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Vincenzina, two brothers, Battista and Silvio, three sisters, Agnese, Maria and Amelia and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Funeral Friday November 7, 2025 at 9 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church to celebrate Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours Friday morning from 8 to 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
