Rosa Saez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lakeview Funeral Home - Chicago on Jan. 7, 2026.
Rosa Angelica Saez, 80, passed on January 6, 2026 in her home in Chicago, where she lived with her grandson, Emmanuel Alvarado, and great granddaughter, Millicent. She is also survived by her daughter Patricia Montalvo (Bill), son Benjamin Cruz (Cheryl) and daughter Betsy Saez (Alex), and her other grandchildren and great grandchildren, Danny, Amanda, Arianna, Natalie, Noah, Amaya, Nicholas, Matthew, Joseph, Elisa, Tony, Gina and Kaia, and her many siblings, cousins, and friends. She was loved and respected by many. She was predeceased by her mom and dad, Pedro "Paco" and Paula Saez and her siblings, Uncle Pete and Tio Nieves.
Rosa was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico in 1946. She came to the U.S. (Chicago) in the 60s and despite the many challenges life threw at her, including a sickly child, she raised 3 great kids. She was a friend, sister, a mom, a grandma, but she loved being a Nana most of all. Rosa was a kind and friendly soul who believed in loving thy neighbor and whose faith in God was paramount. If you knew her, she would have left an imprint on your life.
There will be a visitation for Rosa at the Lakeview Funeral Home, 1458 W. Belmont, Chicago, IL on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
She will be buried at Rosehill Cemetery, 5800 N. Ravenswood, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. We will meet at the entrance to the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. and then proceed from there to the burial site which is about a mile away.
