Rosa Rodriguez Smith

Rosa Rodriguez Smith, 78, died peacefully September 26, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Rosa was born September 2, 1947, in Houston, TX, the daughter of Roberto Rodriguez and Janie Bermudez. Rosa grew up in Tijuana, Mexico and moved to the United States when she was 18 years old.
Rosa spent most of her adult life as a caregiver to her family and was very dedicated to her children. Rosa's hobbies included dancing, singing, and bowling. She also enjoyed reading, playing games and working puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by brother Salvador and sister Isabelle. Rosa is survived by sister Raquel of Lancaster, CA, brother Ramon of Riverdale, CA, daughters Stefanie Schreiber of Moore, OK, Cristal Thompson-Masteller of Oklahoma City, OK, Cindy Smith of Oklahoma City, OK, granddaughters Tara Thomas Kapoi of Honolulu, HI, Carissa Tomlinson of Yukon, OK, grandson Devin Green of Del City, great granddaughters Madison Tomlinson, Mackenzie Davis, Maelynn Davis, and several nieces and nephews.
Pursuant to Rosa's wishes, she entered eternal rest through cremation instead of a traditional funeral. A celebration of life for Rosa will be held at a future date.
