MORVEN – On Monday, October 27, 2025, Mrs. Rosa Adcock Tucker, 87, passed away peacefully at her home.
Services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 30, 2025, by the graveside in Morven Cemetery with Rev. Lonnie Grose officiating.
Rose was born June 17, 1938, in Stanly County, NC and was a daughter of the late Henry William Adcock and the late Laura Nellie Smith Adcock. She was a graduate of Belmont High School and Central Piedmont Community College where she earned a degree in nursing.
She worked for more than 40 years as a registered nurse and retired from the Anson County Health Department in 2003.
She was a faithful member of Sandy Plains United Methodist Church in Morven, which is now, Sandy Plains Christian Fellowship Church.
Those who are left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years, Vondale Tucker; her daughter, Wendy Vanessa Rogers of Lewes, DE; her sisters and brothers, Aline Mosteller of Hayesville, Bernice Talent (Bob) of Live Oak, FL, Boyce Adcock and Joyce Porter (Mickey) both of Wadesboro, Frankie Beachum (Dalton) of Catawba, SC and Jerry Adcock (Katherine) of Wingate; her brother-in-law, Haywood Newton of Wadesboro and her nieces and nephews and their families from both the Adcock and Tucker families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sisters, Don Adcock, Carolyn Haigler, Janet Harris, Rachel Myers, Sue Newton, and Barbara Gantt.
Rose will be remembered for being an excellent cook, her love for camping and going to the beach, her gift of basket weaving, being an excellent nurse and for loving her babies, Toby and Scooter, her dachshunds.
The family is most grateful to her caregivers, Linda Hinson of Morven and Lynn McDonald of Cheraw, SC for the beautiful way in which they cared for her, making it possible for her to be cared for in the comfort of her home.
The family suggests memorials be made to Gentiva Hospice, 1198 Rockingham Rd., Rockingham, NC 28379.
