Rosa A. Vacirca

Rosa A. Vacirca, a beloved business owner cherished matriarch passed away peacefully on October 9, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on January 17, 1934, in Sicily, Italy, Rosa’s journey led her to become the proud owner of Village Bridal and Formals. Her passion for her work was evident, as she brought joy and elegance to countless brides and special occasions, weaving threads of love into every dress she showcased.

Rosa was not just a successful businesswoman; she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who devoted her life to her family. Married for 71 beautiful years to her late husband, Joseph Vacirca, who passed in 2023, their partnership was a testament to unwavering love and commitment. Rosa gave everything for her family, showcasing her strength and kindness in every endeavor.

She took immense pride in caring for her parents while simultaneously nurturing her own family, instilling values of love, compassion, and resilience in her children and grandchildren. Rosa is survived by her two beloved daughters, Angelina and her husband Gilbert Misner and Concetta Vacirca-Armani and her husband Michael Armani. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Anthony and his wife Brianne Misner, Joseph and his wife Ela Misner, Travis McDonough, and Kristin and her husband Harrison Lave, all of whom carry the warmth of her love in their hearts. Rosa was blessed with the joy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she held a special place in the lives of Aidan Misner. Rosa also leaves behind her sister Concetta and her brother Joseph.

Each moment spent with her family was filled with laughter, stories, and cherished memories that will forever resonate in their hearts. Her spirit will continue to guide them, reminding them of the importance of family and love.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Rosa's remarkable life. Visitation will be held on October 16, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY. A funeral mass will be held on October 17, 2024 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, 10:15AM.
