Rosa Lee Waters, 91, of Leesville, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Mrs. Waters was born in Lexington County, the daughter of the late Albert F. and Vera Shealy Swygert. She was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church. Before Mrs. Waters became ill, she enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and going fishing.
Surviving are her husband, Clyde W. Waters; children, Debra Berry (Keith) of Batesburg, Ronnie Price (Betty) of Gilbert, and Teresa Akins (Ronnie) of Leesville; step-children, Becky Rikard of Leesville, Ralph Waters (Kathy) of Leesville, Ricky Waters (Mary) of Gilbert, and Todd Waters of Columbia; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Jimmy Swygert (Marie) of West Columbia; nieces and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Price; and brothers, Charles Franklin Swygert, Javis Swygert, and Glenn Swygert.
The funeral service for Mrs. Waters will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, July 31st, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with burial to follow in Beulah United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12 P.M. Active pallbearers will be: Travis Barnes, Eric Barnes, Andy Price, and Austin Riley.
