On Thursday February 17, 2022 Mrs. Rosa Lee Wilson peacefully made her transition into life everlasting. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 24, 2022 at McLaurin Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.
Rosa was born on December 1, 1926 in Richmond Virginia to the late Jessie and Bessie Mae Toliver. At an early age she moved to Pelham, North Carolina, where she attended the local schools and joined the Gwynn Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She later met and married the love of her life, Rev. Charles Wilson. She continued her spiritual walk with her husband at First Christian Church, until he was called to the Little Bethlehem Christian Church where he was Pastor and she was first lady for over 20 years. In later years they returned back to the First Christian Church where she was one of the mothers of the church. She continued on her Christian Journey at First Christian Church until her health declined.
Rosa, affectionately called "Queen and Ma Rose" by church members and friends, enjoyed traveling, reading and cooking her famous "cube steak" for her family. She enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved people and people loved her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband of 54 years; Rev. Charles Wilson and son; Larry Todd Wilson.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, devoted son; Steven L. Wilson, Reidsville, Niece; Angel Galloway, Wentworth, NC, other Nieces and Nephews, special cousin; Rev. John Doe(Gladys), Pelham, NC, best friend; Mrs. Dollie Dodd, and a plethora of other relatives and friends.
