In Loving Memory of Rosa Maria Yanez

September 12, 1937 – August 24, 2025

Our beloved Rosa Maria Yanez went home to the Lord on August 24, 2025, at the age of 87. She was the heart of our family, a woman of unshakable faith, and a blessing to everyone who knew her.

Born on September 12, 1937, Rosa lived her life with love, humility, and prayer at the center of everything she did. A devout Catholic, her rosary was never far from her hands, and there was never a day she did not lift someone up in prayer. Her greatest joy came from caring for her family, and she gave selflessly, always putting others first.

Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Lazaro Martinez Yanez, and her parents, Trinidad Gonzalez and Isabela Gonzalez Torres. She is survived by her children: Saul Yanez (Sally), Sonia Yanez, Sandra Vasquez Pearson, Renato Yanez (Minerva), and Mario Yanez. She also leaves behind her sisters, Evelia Gonzalez Perez and Esperanza Gonzalez Torres, and her brother, Roberto Gonzalez.

She was "Grandma" to Kylene, David, Noah, Justin, Erica, Anthony, Genaro, and Saul, and was further blessed with numerous great-grandchildren and one precious great-great-grandchild.

Rosa had the gift of making everyone feel like family. At church she was known for her warm smile and her steadfast devotion.

Her life was full of faith, laughter, and love. She showed us what it means to forgive, to pray without ceasing, and to love without conditions. While she will be deeply missed, her prayers, her lessons, and her love will remain with us always.
