Rosalea Ann Russell, 99, passed away on July 17, 2025, at her home in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born on November 16, 1925, in Hutchinson to Cecil Zeke and Elda (Schlegel) Brice-Nash.

Rosalea attended high school in Arkansas. On June 9, 1963, Rosalea married Harold B. Russell in Newton, KS. He passed away on October 23, 1998. She was a homemaker, and a beloved mother and grandmother. Throughout her life, Rosalea had many accomplishments and achievements. When she was younger, she performed acrobatics. She enjoyed scooping ice cream at the Dairy Barn at the Kansas State Fair, Rosalea was a Girl Scout Leader, a rabbit breeder with her daughter Layn, a lifetime gardener, an accomplished artist and painting instructor at Delos V. Smith Senior Center, and line danced in her 90's. She was a member of the Wheat Hearts Club, and VFW Post 1361-Hutchinson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; daughter, Laurieta Rash-Alexander; son-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Gillham; daughter-in-law, Margaret Freeman; and brother-in-law, Fredrick "Fritz" Mohrman.

Rosalea is survived by her children, Linda Freeman- Gillham, Brice Freeman, Robbie Rash- Scott, Beth Elaine "Layn" Russell and husband Glenn Greenfield; sister, Jan Mohrman; numerous, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, KS. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to Delos V. Smith Senior Center and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
