NEW BOSTON – Rosalee Rase, 70 of New Boston, a former Minford area resident for 60 years, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023 at her residence. She was born July 3, 1952 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Earnest and Vannie Rose Wright Curtis. Rosalee was a 1970 Minford High School graduate, was a homemaker, mom, grandmother and loved her Hello Kitty Collection and solar figurines.
She is survived by four daughters, Kristy (Bill) Bussler of Minford, Milisa Liles of PA, Angelia (David) Schaeffer of Alabama, Cathy of Minford; her adopted daughter & son, Chuck and Natalie Shigley of Wheelersburg; her fulltime caregiver & granddaughter, Allison (Paul) Cook of Portsmouth; 23 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, and her brother, Earnie (Brenda) Curtis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vancil Rase on March 3, 2007, and her daughter, Jody Cooper.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday June 13, 2023 at Madison Township Community Center in Minford. A private burial will be in Bennett Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.

I have so many good memories with Rosalee and the girls growing up. She was famous for her homemade chicken tenders dinners....I send my condolences to all the girls and family. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
