It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rosalee Ward, beloved mother, friend, and cherished member of the community, who departed from this life on November 13, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on July 25, 1938, in Dallas, Texas, Rosalee was a hardworking and dedicated individual who touched the lives of many throughout her journey.
Rosalee moved to Winnsboro, Texas in 2012, from Gladewater, where she established her home and immersed herself in the community. She was a talented cosmetologist, proudly self-employed and committed to providing beauty services to her clients. Her warm personality and skilled hands quickly made her a favorite among those she served.
A devout member of the Southern Baptist faith, Rosalee found strength and solace in her beliefs and was an active participant in her church community. She cherished camping trips and loved spending quality time with her family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be held dear by all who knew her.
Rosalee is survived by her two sons, David Ward and Matthew Scott Ward, who she loved unconditionally. Her legacy will live on through them and the countless lives she touched throughout her years.
Rosalee was preceded in death by: husband, Jodie Ward; sons, Jodie Ward, and James Ward; and parents, James and Bertha Scott
A graveside service will be held in her honor at Lee Cemetery on November 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate both the life and the love that Rosalee brought to the world.
In this time of mourning, may we all find comfort in the memories we hold close and the impact that Rosalee had on our lives. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered.
