Rosalie (DeFazio) Bradley, 87, of Carbondale, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Ellen Memorial Care Center in Honesdale. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Bradley, who passed away in March 2013.
Born and raised in Clifford, Rosalie was the daughter of the late Peter and Philomena (Sirianni) DeFazio. She was a devoted lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale, where she sang in the choir and was an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
A 1956 graduate of St. Rose High School, Rosalie owned and operated Rosalie’s Beauty Salon from her home after working as a hairdresser for the Globe Store. She was an avid reader and talented artist who loved gardening, cooking, and baking. Above all, her greatest joy came from her faith and her family. Rosalie and her husband, Paul, also shared a love of camping and made many dear friends at the campground over the years.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bekele, Theresa Micknick, as well as the staff of Ellen Memorial Care for their kindness, compassion, and dedicated care.
Surviving are two daughters, Kimberly Striefsky and husband, Andrew, Clifford Township; and Paula Brennan and husband, Patrick, Fell Township; three grandchildren, Patrick Brennan and fiancée, Madison Mang; Bradley Brennan and girlfriend, Paige Barillo; and Alexandrea Brennan; three great-grandchildren, Patrick III, Addyson, and Michael Brennan; and Mallory Mangan, who was like a granddaughter to Rosalie, her husband, Sean, and their children Lonnie and Delaney, Vandling; a special great nephew, Wayne Williams, who they raised for many years; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Paul and James Bradley; three sisters, Catherine DeFazio, Clara (DeFazio) Brown Scalzo, and Marie Grecco; and two brothers, Joseph and Jasper DeFazio.
The funeral will be Thursday, November 13, 2025, from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2 Hospital Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Parish at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, to be celebrated by Rev.
