Rosalie Miller Craig, 82, of Burgettstown, passed away on Sunday morning May 7, 2023 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born on June 20, 1940 a daughter of the late Mary and Del St. Clair Miller.
Rosalie met her beloved husband William Rea Craig by chance at a dance hall in 1959. After only three short dances and a quiet walk home, she and Bill embarked on a love many could only dream of. Merely a year later on June 11, 1960, they were united in marriage beginning a life filled with love and admiration until his passing on October 14, 2018 after 58 years of marriage.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Barry) Hamilton of McKees Rocks; five grandchildren, Erica (Kenny) Plute of McDonald, Trista (Ben) Snatchko of Joffre, Brandon Culley of McDonald, William (Kylee) of Washington and Bryce Craig of Burgettstown; great- grandchildren Lorelei, Waylon, Talen, Alivia, Starlily, Henry, Maci, Charlee, Acen, Annika, and Levi; a sister, Mary Ellen Karch (the late Gene) of Burgettstown; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is her son William R.Craig, Jr.
Family and friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgettstown, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies privately for her immediate family.
