Mulvane - Rosalie Darlene (Stalnaker) Pudden, 91, of Mulvane, KS, formerly of Arkansas City, KS, passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, at her residence. She was proceeded in death by her eldest son, Douglas Pudden, her parents, and three siblings. Surviving family members include her son, Michael Pudden, of Seattle, WA, daughter, Monica (Pudden) Brooker and her husband, Larry, of Mulvane, KS, eight grandchildren, Michael (Tyler) Pudden, Melissa (Brooker) Tyrrell and her husband, Russell, Gillian (Brooker) DeLano, Tiffany Pudden and her husband, Jacob Reyes, and Tanner Pudden and his wife, Michelle, ten great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and her sister, Sharon (Stalnaker) Shelton, of Arkansas City, KS.
Rosalie was born on May 11, 1934, in Arkansas City, KS, to Roy and Myrtle “Ruth” (Lamb) (Stalnaker) Cummings. She grew up on a farm in Newkirk, OK, which is where she graduated high school. She attended Wichita Business College following High School where she received her degree. She spent the first years of her married life staying home and caring for her children before she started working at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, KS. She moved to Mulvane, KS, with her family in 1973 to be closer to her job. She worked there for many years prior to moving to Boeing as an Office Manager and remained there for the last 16 years of her career. After her retirement, she enjoyed painting, crafting, and spending time with her family, while also being very involved in her church. Rosalie loved the Lord and spent hours studying the Bible, which led to the creation of her own “book” of Bible notes, which she willingly shared with her family and friends.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Smith Mortuary in Mulvane at 1:00PM, with viewing beginning at 12:00PM. There will be a graveside service following at the Mulvane Cemetery.
For those wishing to send flowers, please avoid any type of lily due an anaphylactic reaction of a family member.
