Rosalie Ruth Russell Lewis

Rosalie Ruth Russell Lewis, Williamstown, WV, passed away peacefully Friday, June 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the Parkersburg Care Center where she resided for the past three years. She was born at home on January 2, 1938, to Thomas Asher and Iowa Daisy Mills Russell. Rosalie was the youngest of their ten children and the last one living.

Rosalie was a member of the Williamstown Eagles #4487 and the First Presbyterian Church in Williamstown. She enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her family.

Rosalie is survived by one son, Earl (Vivian) Lewis of Williamstown; two daughters, Betty (Dick) Smith of Williamstown and Diane (Charles) Leeper of Virginia; and one daughter-in-law, April Lewis of Kentucky. She is also survived by two grandsons, Christopher (Maureen) Leeper and Nicholas (Sherry) Leeper all of South Carolina, and her fur granddog, Buddy Lewis of Williamstown and several cousins, nieces and nephews from all over the United States.

In addition to her husband of 65 years, Earl K. Lewis, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Lewis of Kentucky.
