Rosalind A. Long

January 10, 1938 - October 29, 2025

NORMAL - Rosalind A. "Rose" Long, 87, of Normal, passed away at 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at The Arc at Normal.

A private family service and interment at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be left to a charity of the donor's choice.

Rose was born on January 10, 1938 in Bloomington, a daughter to Andrew and Mabel (Peifer) Gang, and was raised in Bloomington. She married Charles H. Long, Jr. on September 12, 1959. He survives.

Her parents, sisters, Anna May Gang, Donna Jean Anderson, Edith Weed, and Phyllis Phillips, one son, Michael, and granddaughter, Sarah preceded her in death.

Surviving are her sons, Charles (Carol) Long of Stanford and John (Lisa) Long of Normal; daughter, Elizabeth (Andrew) Beyer of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Zachary (Bethany), Brandon, Mat (Rae), Andi, and Blake; and a great-granddaughter Kylie.

Rose was a wonderful wife, and a loving and gracious mother. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren through the years. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
