Rosalinda R. Garcia

Rosalinda R. Garcia, age 66, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 22, 2025 while surrounded by her loving family, here in Del Rio. She was born on November 16, 1959 in Del Rio, Texas.

For her love of children, Rosalinda began her career working at a children's daycare and proceeded to working with the SFDRCISD as a teacher's assistant. She obtained her Bachelor's in Teaching and retired as a dedicated, caring teacher for 35 years.

As many knew her as "Rosa" "Glamma" and "Auntie Rose", she always devoted herself to helping her family, friends and anyone who crossed her beautiful soul.

Rosalinda will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, faith, loving spirit, and patience.

Preceding her in death was her parents, Esperanza and Olegario Rodriguez Sr; sister, Maria Elena Saenz; niece, Sandra Y. Carrizales; and grandson, Demetre Martinez.

Family members left to cherish her memory include her husband of 29 years, Daniel "H." Garcia of Del Rio; children: Veronica Barrera and husband Robert Martinez of Del Rio, Anna Barrera-Maldonado and husband René Maldonado of Del Rio, and Abraham Garcia of Del Rio; siblings: Alice R. Velasquez and late husband Robert V. Velasquez, Leti Ybarra and husband Joe Ybarra, and Olegario Rodriguez Jr. and wife Nelda Rodriguez; grandchildren: Donovan Martinez, Samantha Barrera-Maldonado, and Viviana Barrera-Maldonado; great grandchildren: Hazel Martinez, Micah Martinez, and Anora Martinez; Rosalinda is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other close relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Faith.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 4 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Jose. Private services will follow the Mass.
