Rosalinda (Flores) Perez, a beloved educator and cherished family member, passed away peacefully at her home in Beeville, Texas on October 7, 2024, at the age of 73.
Rosalinda was the first of three daughters born to Elida (Garcia) Flores and Juan M. Flores on October 21, 1950, in Beeville. She attended A.C. Jones High School and married Rudolfo “Rudy” G. Perez on October 5, 1968, in Beeville. She was a devout member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Rosalinda dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting the educational journeys of countless children as a teacher's aide at Beeville ISD for an impressive 36 years.
A devoted family member, Rosalinda cherished the moments spent at family gatherings, which brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She also enjoyed cooking and baking and loved nothing more than being “Granny” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Elida Flores.
Rosalinda is remembered fondly by her husband of 56 years, Rudy G. Perez of Beeville; a daughter, Rose Marie Perez of Beeville; a son, Roy Perez of Beeville; two sisters, Sylvia (Jesse) Gonzales of Beeville and Angela (Jamie) Kovacs of Canada; four grandchildren, Kayla, Ryan, Randy and Riana; five great-grandchildren; four nieces; and one nephew.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 10, at Angelus Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7 o’clock that evening.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, October 11, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Isaias Estepa officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery No. 2.
Pallbearers will be Randy Perez, Anthony Sandoval, Rene Garcia, Jamie Kovacs, Alan Burkett and Tino Olivares.
