Rosalyn Michelle, daughter of Pastor Jesse M. Osborne and Sheila Leavell Osborne, began her earthly journey on Sunday, September 23, 1979 in Clarksville, Tennessee. Her grandparents, Charles H. Osborne and Maria A. Bell Osborne; uncles: Steve Leavell, Edward Osborne, Charles Thomas Osborne, Fred Douglas Osborne and aunt, Barbara Washington preceded her in death.
At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Port Royal, TN where she faithfully served as a member of the choir.
Rosalyn received her formal education in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and was a graduate of Northeast High School with the Class of 1997. She enjoyed employment with the School System as a Teacher’s Assistant. Rosalyn impacted the lives of her students through her compassion, warmth, and commitment to education.
She was formerly married to David L. Carney, and to this union two beautiful children were born. Her children were the joy of her life, and she took great pride in watching them grow and succeed.
Rosalyn loved spending time with her family, friends and taking care of children. She also enjoyed shopping, getting her hair and nails done and trying new recipes. All who knew and loved her will sorely miss her presence and beautiful smile. She touched the hearts of those around with her selfless nature and willingness to help others.
On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Rosalyn answered God’s beckoning call to cease from her earthly labors and entered into the Master’s joy.
She leaves to cherish precious memories her devoted companion, David L. Carney; daughter, Savanna Carney; son, Davon Carney; parents: Pastor Jesse M. and Sheila Osborne; brother, Jason Osborne, all of Clarksville, TN; grandmother, Bessie Leavell; mother-in-law, Lorsie Carney; brother-in-law, William (Paula) Carney; sister-in-law, Sandra Carney; aunts: Cynthis (Robert) Dowlen, Deanna (Rev.
