Rosario “Rosie” Scott, 84, of Surry, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Leo Scott; her sisters, Rebecca Villanueva and Loida Carza. Rosie was born in the Philippines, she moved to San Diego, where she met her husband in 1978. They married in 1984. The US Navy transferred Leo and Rosie to Norfolk, Virginia and they eventually settled in Surry, Virginia in 2005. She loved animals and is survived by her pet dog, “SAM”.
She enjoyed jogging, tennis and playing board games. She was fun to be with and a young spirit at heart. Her hobby was making costume jewelry which she generously shared with family and friends. Rosie was kind, caring and generous and will be missed by all who knew her.
