Rose Ann McNICKLE

The loving McNickle family are sad to announce the passing of Rose Ann on January 22nd, 2025.

Rose Ann was born on September 23, 1944, in Syracuse, Ohio to Earnest and Carrie Theiss. She graduated in 1963 from Pomeroy High School, Pomeroy, Ohio, following which she attended a local business academy. After graduation she was employed by the Ohio State D.O.T.

She was initiated into the Ivanhoe Chapter of Eastern Star on January 26, 1988. Where she served as worthy matron 3 terms. She served the Grand Chapter of Eastern Star as a Deputy Instructor, East Side Chairman of Deputy Instructors and Grand Warder for the Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star Washington State.

After a lengthy courtship, she and her high school sweetheart Robert McNickle joined in holy matrimony. After the union she travelled with her military husband to various assigned stations before settling down in Spokane Washington in 1971.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Earnest, James and Charles (Charlie) Theiss. She is survived by her husband, Robert McNickle, of 59 years; her two sons, Steven, Gregory; her grandchildren, Kyla Hammock, Alyssa McNickle, Nathan McNickle, Devon McNickle; and her great-grandchild, Lizabeth Keyway.

Rose Ann never met a person who she didn't like, and she was liked by all. She will be extremely missed by all her friends and family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, from 4-6pm at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N. Division St. Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, February 1, also at Riplinger Funeral Home. Rose Ann will be laid to rest at Spokane-Cheney Memorial Gardens at a private family graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Rose Ann to Shriners Children's Hospital.
