Rose Ann Barich

The family of Rose Ann Barich of Salinas announce her passing on July 1, 2025. She lived a life filled with love for 98 years. She was always there for all in our family in her special way.

Rose was born in Chicago IL; however her family moved to San Pedro, CA when she was of a young age. She was the youngest of 3 children, her sister Mary and brother Tony. She attended local schools and enjoyed the friendships of many. She loved to sing and had a radiant smile. Together with her brother Tony she was a member of the Yugoslav Junior Tamburica Orchestra and had the privilege of playing at the World's Fair in San Francisco, CA.1939.

After graduating from Compton Junior College, she was employed by The Southern California Gas Company. Rose enjoyed a 68-year marriage with Marion Barich. They settled in Salinas, CA. and had 7 children, who were the cornerstone of her life. Her home was always open to friends and family. Over the years she enjoyed attending many sporting activities and events at her children's schools. She supported Palma and Notre Dame High Schools and was a member of Sacred Heart Parish for 60 years.

Rose was proceeded in death by her husband Marion, son Bobby and daughter Janet. She leaves behind her children Don (Ella), Dave, Patty, James, Barbara (Jim), brother-in-law Frank Barich and many nieces and nephews.

We will miss her beautiful smile and vibrant personality. Rest in gentle peace, beloved soul. Your journey continues in the love and memories you leave behind.

Donations may be made in memory of Rose Barich to Palma and Notre Dame High Schools and the Monterey County Special Olympics.

Visitation will to held Thursday, July 17, 2025 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m.. at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St. Salinas, Ca. 93901.

Mass will be held 10:00a.m. Friday, July 18, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church, 22 Stone St. Salinas, Ca. 93901 followed by reception at Sacred Heart Hall.
