Rose Bartles, 95, of Emerson, IA, passed away at home on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the funeral beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Glenwood Cemetery. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern is caring for Rose and her family.

Memorials: Directed to the family

Rose Marie Fisher daughter of Ernest Lloyd and Joanna Pearl (Harris) Fisher was born on May 23, 1930 in Pacific Junction, IA. She graduated from Pacific Junction High School in 1948. On February 9,1949 she married Gerald Edward Bartles in Pacific Junction. The couple was blessed with six children Rod, James, Sam, Jody, Sherry and Ruth.

Rose worked at the Glenwood State School for 20 years retiring in 1986.

Rose enjoyed her trips to the casino, reading books, never missing an episode of "Wheel of Fortune", but most of all being around her family.

Rose is preceded in death by her husband Gerald; sons Rod Bartles, James Bartles, Sam Bartles; grandson Michael Bloomer; granddaughter Brandi Bartles; great grandson Johnathan Bloomer; sister Irene Landis; brother Edward Fisher.

Rose is survived by her daughters Jody Lawrence of Ward, AR, Sherry Bloomer and her husband Ernie of Tabor, IA, Ruth Brittain and her husband Brian of Emerson, IA; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister Suetta Van Ness and her husband Larry of Glenwood; other relatives and a host of many friends.
