Rose Mary "Poole" Charpentier, 98, of Chauvin, passed away on March 18, 2026.

Visitation will be held on Thursday March 26, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin starting at 9:00am until mass of Christian burial starting at 11:00am. The burial will follow at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Murphy Paul Charpentier Jr, Irvin Charpentier, and Matthew Charpentier; daughters, Lola Lirette ( Conrad ), Linda Boudreaux, Mary Jane Billiot, and Sharon Thibodeaux, daughter-in-law, Christine Charpentier, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Charpentier Sr; parents, Gilbert and Rita LeCompte; one son, Brian Charpentier; four brothers, Leward, Raymond, Rene, and Edward LeCompte; two sisters, Gloria Thibodeaux and Gertrude Theriot; followed by four grandchildren, Mark Charpentier, Randy Charpentier, John Lirette, and Selena Adams; son-in-law, Irvin Boudreaux and Kenneth Babin; daughter-in-laws, Caroline, Leola, and Levurn (Chic) Charpentier.

Rose Mary was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend. She had a love and talent for sewing, crocheting, and embroidery. She had the pleasure of making all of her children's and grandchildren's baptism gowns. Rose Mary was known for her amazing cooking, with a crowd favorite being her shrimp boulettes. She was a believer in Christ and loved being one of the lords servants with her time here on earth. She will be missed dearly by her family.

Thanks to everyone who helped during this time of need. A special thanks goes to her caregiver, Ellis, a family friend. A very very special thanks to her grandchildren who stepped up to help.
